Installed this is a HobbyPlus Speck-B and it’s a great improvement over the stock brushed system. Lots of torque, speed, and sensored control. Now I’m thinking of another build to build around this system.
I installed this system and not even a full pack through it and the ESC smoked. It is super fast with great power and was I ready to pull the trigger on a couple more when they come up on sale as I pretty happy and assumed it was a one off.Amain replaced it for me (SHOUT OUT TO JARED).
I installed the second setup, motor and all since all I knew was the ESC smoked on the first one and my batteries and wiring were fine.
I got 1 and half packs through it and this time the middle motor terminal smoked and by the time I got to it all wires had melted off.Bummer.I reached out to AMAIN to see if they can help me out. Will update if Furitek will allow.
Awesome upgrade for the Micro-T! The truck was surprisingly fast on the brushed motor, now its wicked fast! Only issue is I couldnt tighten down the gear cover on the trans, with it all the way tight, the motor shaft and pinion gear where contacting the inside of the cover. Its just a tad too long.
Super fast and I love it 😀
Edit it for one month everything worked fine. Second time I used it. The throttle was acting weird. Reset everything and still couldn’t get it to work properly ended up, throwing in the original motor and transmitter very upset.
This thing is an absolute beast
Good motor
this little brushless system really wakes up the micro B. It absolutely eats the stock battery packs though so I'm currently searching for a higher capacity alternative. the performance is pretty great otherwise. I did have an issue where the car had no brakes whatsoever but i found it was the 1.6 firmware update that was responsible so I just downloaded a lower version from the app and its good to go! The car is surprisingly controllable with the stock servo however the Torq one sold on here did fix all my issues with the uneven steering but is extremely responsive and will take a little getting used to. Might be a good idea to pick up some extra tires, you're gonna be burning rubber!
I have waited 2 weeks after getting this combo for my Micro B because I have been waiting on a receiver that would fit in it. I wanted to install the Gripor receiver/transmitter combo but couldn’t get my hands on one. Finally was able to do the install last night and I couldn’t be happier. I did have to make a hole in the spur gear cover because the pinion was rubbing on it, which is no big deal to me. I love Furitek electronics.
Perfect fit now for some proper gears the grub screw in my pinion is stripped and stuck on the pole (ND) but it’s perfect
